Creams Will Not Help Wrinkles

March 30th, 2009

Did you know that 99% of eye creams work on your face but not around your eyes?  In fact, the wrinkle creams are simply not strong enough.  There are so many wrinkle creams on the market that it is very hard to choose which one is the best.  Eyecream dot org was put together in order to help people make good decisions about which cream to purchase.  In fact on their website they will indeed show you the ones that are rated the top by all of the people who have bought a product, used it, and returned to eyecream dot org to register their opinion.  Prototype #37-C is the strongest wrinkle cream available on the market and owners have been impressed that this product not only helps with wrinkles, but with dark circles and puffiness around the eyes.  How’s that for a good wrinkle cream?  The best eye cream will be the one that works best for you.

Disability Claims are on the Rise

March 30th, 2009

Surely people might realize by now that disability claims have risen exponentially in the past several years.  The reason behind this has to do with the amount of baby boomers who are getting older as well as advances of knowledge within the medical world.   Years ago people did not know anything about manic depression, schizophrenia or other mental conditions and if it was spoken of, it was in hushed tones and knowing looks.  But disability insurance is just one of those parts of life that are so important to the lives of the American people.  These people would otherwise be unable to afford housing, food, medicine and other necessities, let alone some of the little perks that make life worthwhile.  I receive disability and if were stopped or even dropped down, once my husband was unable to work any more I doubt that we would be able to afford just the regular cost of living expenses.  I never wanted to be in this position, but when we were young we couldn’t see ahead and didn’t realize how important it was.  When we did realize it, too much time had passed to really have time to save much before retirement comes around.  And because the Social Security Administration routinely turns people down when they apply for disability, I highly recommend consulting with an attorney for help in acquiring it.  Years ago my Father applied because he was unable to work at all due to a very bad heart condition.  I read the report that the doctor had written about it and believe me when I say I was thoroughly alarmed as I had not realized how bad off he was.  They turned him down!  That was a shock.  It took him either three or five years to get his, so obtaining help with your denial is a must.

Age Spots Are Not Welcome Here

March 30th, 2009

No matter what we do there is no way to prevent age spots nor wrinkles as we age.  There is a way to remove these effects from our bodies which would require some form of microdermabrasion or laser treatments.  Last year during the viewing for my Mother’s funeral I saw a lady that I had not seen for over 30 years, a friend and ex-neighbor of my family.  The amount of age spots that she had on her face and upper chest were numerous and all you could see were those spots.  I seem to recall that she was a sun worshipper as she was always very tanned (we lived in Florida at the time).  But on the other hand, my Mother had once spent a lot of time doing picking in the field, before she went back to High School and received her diploma.  And she had very little age spots except on her hands, but even there they were not large or numerous.  My Mother got very dark from working out in the sun and even 30 years afterwards still had held onto this darker coloring (we are Caucasian).    Age spots and wrinkles are a part of life, but not one that people have to put up, if they can afford to visit a dermatologist.  A laser can easily remove these age spots, but I am not sure of the cost nor whether or not medical insurance would cover it.  I somehow doubt that it would.  Get more information on this subject at Healthy Skin Portal dot com.

Economic Depression and How to Overcome It

March 30th, 2009

It’s been two weeks since I last seriously read the news; family life having kept me pretty busy; and yesterday I happened to notice that shootings had taken place in several locations.  This led to consideration of the fact that the poor economy most likely was responsible for these murders.  The nursing home murders are especially heinous as it appears that someone thought that our elderly needed to be cleared out so as to cease being a burden on the working class of this country.  If that were the case, then all of us baby boomers would be in physical jeopardy each and every day.  This thinking led me to wonder about the Great Depression of the 30’s, the effects mostly, but escalated into reading about the effects of the depression on countries around the world.  Imagine my shock to discover that Japan was scarcely touched by the depression and in fact, seemed to prosper.

I went to Wikipedia for this information.  It said that Japan countered the Great Depression by evaluation of their dollar and stimulus spending.  Businesses flourished and replaced other countries products as they were so much lower in price.  While in the US families were homeless and hungry and had to depend either on the generosity of strangers or what little they could receive from the government programs.  Why can’t the US do the same thing?  I am not an economist as you can tell and history was never my strong suit at High School.  But it does tend to make me wonder, if they could do it, why couldn’t we?

Wicked Temptations

March 28th, 2009

I don’t think this picture is too sexy for kids but some parents may think so.  This is a bustier being featured here but to me this outfit looks like one that one of those women that gets paid for beating people would wear.  (The word for that escapes me right now.  Finding sexy lingerie is simple if you know where to look.  Many men enjoy buying their lady this type of outfit because they find it sexy and think it will spice up their love life.  I have no doubt that it would either.    Find this at Wicked Temptations, and a lot more, some of which I could not post on this site.  See for yourself.

Apple Iphone, Expensive but also Cheap Company

March 28th, 2009

I bought a used Apple Iphone for $99 from AT&T and it worked just fine.  But I was not pleased with Apple because they were too cheap to print out a manual for a phone that cost a lot, especially last year when they were $400.  Even cheap phones give you a manual.  Then I dropped the phone and even though it was in a case, the display quit working.  I had to drag out my old Razor and charge it up so I’d have a way to call someone. The cordless house phones always seem to be dead.  So today I bought a corded phone that also came with a cordless handset.  Now I can actually answer my phone.

Looking for a Couch

March 28th, 2009

For the first time in the entire length of our married life of 38 years, my husband and I have been looking for a couch.  We have limited space in our apartment but a loveseat or sofa length is not the problem.  Our area is more rectangular and that’s what matters.  Since we both like reclining I thought to buy a couch that had recliners at both sides. I visited an Ashley furniture store and found several that I liked, and these were of a micro-suede material.  I like the overstuffed couches and I also liked the fact that these couches had really high backs.  The recliner handle was also inside of the couch so that it couldn’t be seen on the outside.  Then I found out that the leather couches were only $200 more and since leather is supposed to be such a big deal I also looked at those.  The problem is that there are so many different couches to choose from that I can’t make my mind up.  So today my granddaughter and I are going to other furniture stores to check out their pricing and their styles.  And due to Ashley furniture wanting me to pay $99 delivery and $79 for a five year warranty, seems to me with the economy the way it is that they’d be willing to deal in order to get my business.  So I’m hoping to bicker with  them about all of that.  I’m afraid of being shocked with a cloth couch but also its really hard to clean a cloth couch whereas you simply wipe off a micro-suede.  I’ll put up a picture after we pick one.

Arrange your hotel rooms in advance and take your pet!

March 28th, 2009

Last year when I had to visit Florida for an extended period of time I stayed in a Choice Motel.  Because we took the entire family and we had a dog we were put into one of their dog rooms.  This room was in horrible condition and stunk.  The counter in the bathroom on the underside was swollen from being wet and was chipping off.  The carpet was stained, the glass windows were blurry, and even though it was a pet room we were not allowed to smoke inside of it.  But perhaps the Dallas Texas hotels are not this bad.  I would assume not since this is a much bigger town and they probably have a lot more traffic than the town that we were in.  Visit the Choice Hotels International site to look for a motel/hotel where you are visiting or just passing through on your way somewhere.

When Your Trip Plans Are Cancelled

March 27th, 2009

Did you ever schedule a trip, paying for your airplane tickets, hotel room, and car rental ahead of time and have to cancel due to some unforeseen emergency or other situation where you just were unable to go?  Usually you are out of these prepayments and that can often be a very large amount.  But if you get some travel insurance you are going to find that even if you do not get back 100% of your costs, you will not have to make any co-payments or deductibles.  There is also medical travel insurance for when you travel out of the country.  Did you know your medical and car insurance will not cover you in another country?  What can be worse than going overseas only to find yourself  in an accident or coming down with some debilitating disease that prevents you from returning home, and on top of that to find out that your insurance won’t cover your medical bills.  For those people who have saved up for years to be able to afford a trip like this, one of these incidents can be devastating.  Keep this from happening by buying some of this insurance.  It is a safety net.
